Entrepreneurship
In this module learners investigate the feelings and needs around the ascertain what products they should sell in a school tuck shop. The module then allows the learners to create a fictitious school tuck shop and use MS Excel to keep track of profits, losses and stock. The module also provides the learners with the skills needed to pass the ICE and ICDL examination in MS Excel and to achieve local and International accreditation.
Primary Outcome
The primary outcome of this module is to have the learners demonstrate an awareness of their place in the economy. The learners will become aware of possibilities where they can generate income by being producers and not only consumers. The learners will identify the needs and want of their peers and then constructing a small business plan of action. The learners will be able to demonstrate resource management and product management to maximize profit in a small business.Secondary Outcome
The learners will be prepared and have the understanding to write an accredited ICE exam on Microsoft Excel or an accredited international examination.
